When Danielle Reali and Matt Kennelly began planning for their november wedding, they immediately knew a customized Sunday brunch would be the ideal celebration.
“Matt and I love breakfast and going to brunch, so we knew a brunch wedding was perfect for us,” recalls Danielle.
With the help of Victoria Canada Weddings and events, the couple put together a unique pre- and post-wedding celebration that will be remembered fondly for years to come. The day began with early morning mimosas (and coffee
of course) and photographs. seeing each other prior to the ceremony helped “settle our nerves,” according to the bride.
As guests arrived, they were served champagne as part of a pre-wedding reception. The ceremony began when the couple met under a spectacular tree on the lawn of the Four Seasons. “enclosed in a circle of family and friends,” Danielle and Matt exchanged vows with the help of family friend, minister Sandi Miller, who “reflected a sense of love” throughout the ceremony.
Following the heartfelt “I do's,” the brunch celebration began. The extensive menu included salmon and beef carving stations, made-to-order omelets and crepes, as well as specialty drinks such as frozen peach Bellinis and Bloody
Marys. “it was important that everyone came hungry and left very full,” commented Danielle.
The attendants were dressed in chocolate brown dresses of their own choosing, while the décor reflected a simple brown and green color scheme. Flora europa expanded on the elegant brunch theme by creating unique centerpieces that included blooms set among coffee beans inside multitiered cubes on each table.
What Sunday brunch would be complete without a crossword puzzle? Guests were treated to a combination ice breaker-favor in the form of personalized crossword puzzles that encouraged mingling among family and friends while
listening to live jazz.
“We have had so many people come to us to tell us how it was the most touching wedding they have been to. To know that everyone could feel the love and commitment being exchanged is amazing,” recalls the ebullient bride.
