Natural Wonders
An active couple, Kelcey Lance and Tim Gault chose to exchange vows in October, when the mild weather would allow them to celebrate their marriage in the great outdoors.
McCormick Ranch Golf Club provided an ideal ceremony location, overlooking a lake with beautiful views of Camelback Mountain. They chose a simple, natural theme for their wedding, with colors that reflected the rustic beauty of the desert.
Multiple shades of green were featured throughout the decor, along with accents of orange, dark burgundy and brown. Kelcey chose floral arrangements accented with herbs, native grasses and succulents, which offered a beautiful contrast to the elegant, lush green surroundings. The bridal bouquet was especially beautiful in shades of white, ivory, green and apricot. It was adorned with an antique brooch that belonged to her late grandmother.
Tim and Kelcey decided to take pictures together beforehand, which allowed them a few private moments prior to the ceremony. It was an emotional, memorable time they will remember always, providing a sense of calm before appearing in front of their guests.
Tradition and family were values that the couple chose to focus on during the planning of their wedding. Their ceremony featured an extra-wide aisle to accommodate their parents, grandparents and siblings who gathered together to walk them down the aisle. For “something old,” Kelcey wore beautiful bracelet belonging to her 93-year old grandmother, while her “borrowed” items were a lovely pair of pearl earrings and an elegant feather hair ornament.
As the couple was pronounced husband and wife, they were showered by soap bubbles blown by their excited guests. The entire group was then welcomed to the Club's outdoor pavilion where they watched the newlyweds drive off in a golf cart decorated by the mother of the bride. Tim and Kelcey took advantage of the spectacular sunset on the putting green, while their photographer capturedfun and unique images of the couple.
The pair returned to the reception to thunderous applause, and an exceptional dinner was served, featuring Mahi Mahi and filet mignon. In lieu of favors, the animal lovers made a donation to the Arizona Humane Society, where they rescued their beloved dog Molly.
