red, white and dress blues

Kasey and Alan brought their love of family and service to our country to the forefront when celebrating their wedding at DC Ranch last fall.

As a Captain in the Air Force, Alan desired a military wedding, complete with saber bearers and military guests dressed in their most formal military attire. The couple surrounded themselves with attendants that reflected their significant roles in Alan and Kasey’s lives. With that in mind, the bride’s brothers, a sister-in-law, and a special male cousin stood at her side as she exchanged vows with her new husband.

Recalls Kasey: “When I look back on my pictures 50 years from now, those people will be just as important to me then as they are now.”

The people who could not attend the wedding also held special importance to Alan and Kasey. She explains, “We had a table at the reception to honor all the missing in action and fallen soldiers as well as a script that was read that explained its significance to our guests.”

The bride’s stepmother selected the wedding and reception floral arrangements, which were kept as a surprise until the ceremony began. Alan’s navy-colored uniform and Kasey’s gold-hued gown were offset dramatically by deep red flowers. Other components of the reception, including the entertainment, dinner and the table settings, were orchestrated by the wedding coordinator who fashioned an event representative of the couple’s personalities.

The moving tribute to family and country was captured in photographs and on video for the couple to enjoy for years to come.
