A Fine Romance
When Courtney and Mark got
engaged, they knew they
wanted a very stylish wedding at the Silverleaf Club where Courtney’s parents are members. The setting is a fairytale vision in the picturesque Scottsdale foothills, complete with a gorgeous stone chateau.
In addition to attending to the many elegant details of their breathtaking wedding, the pair entertained their guests for four days with a golf day at Silverleaf, spa experiences at Salon Par Exsalonce and an authentic “hoe down” at the Desert Foothills Cookout.
Courtney chose watercolor florals in butter yellow, pink and soft blues, as well as embellishments in ivory and pewter. Armloads of hydrangea and roses in terra cotta pots greeted guests at the outdoor ceremony, while reception centerpieces included antique silver candelabras and chargers.
The invitation suite, including elegant menus and programs, featured a simple monogram letterpress design, and hand-done calligraphy in pewter ink to complement a butter yellow border.
As the guests arrived, they were greeted with champagne and seated in chivari chairs draped with cream pashminas for the ladies. Courtney’s parents met her at the bottom of a dramatic staircase and escorted her down an aisle of cream and yellow rose petals laid on a verdant green lawn. She was met by the beaming groom and a large wedding party dressed in formal black gowns and tuxedos.
Upon sharing vows, the pair invited their guests to enjoy a lavish cocktail hour featuring a caviar bar on ice, Italian food stations and passed hors d’oeuvres. Dinner began with a chilled gazpacho, followed by a beautiful ahi tuna salad, and braised beef with champagne risotto. The stunning wedding cake featured delicate sugar rose petals that appeared to cascade from the layers. Hand-made truffles were prepared for the guests to take home in monogrammed boxes.
The wedding celebration continued after dinner as the guests danced to a full 12-piece band on an elevated wood stage. Father and daughter shared a poignant dance together as family and friends looked on in delight.
As dancing under the stars extended well into the evening, family and friends were invited to enjoy a final culinary treat: Kobe beef sliders and wood grilled pizzas.
